This stamp is from Our Daily Bread Designs Bird and Butterfly Labels.  I colored my stamp with Stampin Up markers and then "huffed" on it and stamped on my cardstock. I added clouds using Broken China distress ink.   My image is layered with Spellbinder's Labels 18, Grand Labels 11 and Grand Labels 1 diecuts.   My design paper is from Cosmo Cricket Mini Deck "Odds & Ends".  I used Marianne designs and Martha Stewart punches for my embellishments  and flowers from Prima.

Sugar Creek Hollow Saturday Challenge

Welcome to another Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow!  This week our challenge is to create a MASCULINE card.  This must be in a vintage, shabby chic or primitive style to comply with our challenge requirements.  Here is my creation for this week:

Keep Your Lamp Burning

This is one of my favorite sets from Our Daily Bread Designs.  I made this for a friend who recently retired.  I embossed the image with Ranger gold embossing powder and added Tim Holtz "Hardware Findings" diecuts.  I made a tag to display my scripture and tied it with jute.  My design paper is from  Bo Bunny's "Timepiece" collection and I think it makes a perfect background for my image.  The sentiment on the inside of my card is from Create With TLC.

The Design Team will choose one project as Card of the Week and the creator will receive a badge to display and will be in the running for a Guest Designer spot.

Sugar Creek Hollow Saturday Challenge

Welcome to another Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow.  This August has been so hot in so many areas but it's time to cool things down and think Christmas.  This week our challenge is to make a Vintage Christmas Card:

Marianne Creatables corner die, Martha Stewart holly leaf, Dew Drops, 

ribbon from Michael's, 

Tim Holtz distressed ink, Stampin Up chalk 

To achieve a vintage look, I used distress inks around my image and tore the edges of my paper.   

We want you to put away your cute images and find a vintage Christmas image in your craft room or online. You will also need to get out your most vintage papers and embellishments.  There are also lots of freebies available online and a number of wonderful vintage products in the craft stores now.

Vintage doesn't necessarily mean overly embellished especially since you want to be able to afford the postage to mail your creation.   Just think inks, distressing, lace, antique buttons, etc.

We will be choosing a random winner and that person will receive a winner's badge to display on her blog and a digi of our choice.  In addition, the Design Team will choose one project as Card of the Week and the creator will receive a badge to display and will be in the running for a Guest Designer spot.
