Crafters of Faith January Blog Hop

Good morning!  We went from winter last week (even snow!) to spring like weather - we're supposed to have temps in the 70's today.  I can remember being able to store my spring and summer clothes during the winter, but not anymore.

Today I have a card for our monthly blog hop.  I belong to the Crafters of Faith blogging group on Splitcoaststampers.  The challenge is hosted by Sharon this month and she has asked us to use both old and new stash and tell what's old and new.  We were also challenged to use a new technique.  Here's my creation:

I used Flourishes Lenten Rose stamp for my image and colored with my Copic markers.  I used a new embossing folder (new to me), Cuttlebug's Julie's Garden.  My SU border punch is old, as well as my ribbon and SU card stock.  My hearts were cut with a Creative Memories punch which I still consider "new".  My new technique is Triple Stamping by Joan Ervin and is listed under tutorials at Splitcoaststampers.

Heartfelt Creations January Alumni Blog Hop

My card panel is Stampin Up and I used Georgia Pacific for my base.   I embossed my panel with a Darice embossing folder.   I colored my image with Copic markers and distress inks.   Spellbinders diecuts, Stampin Up ribbon and pearl dew drops complete my creation.

Today I have another digital image from Whimsy and Stars Studio, definitely "girlie"!  I've evidently been carried away with the "girlie" concept, using all the pink and red.  I kept my design paper choice simple to keep the focus on this adorable digi.

I used Spellbinders Grand Labels One for my card shape.  The heart doily was created with my Cricut and the heart border was made with a Creative Memories punch.  I used my Copics for coloring my image.

Valentines with TLC

The weather is cold and blustery in the South.  Our temperatures have been in the twenties and we're expecting snow flurries today.  This is perfect weather to spend in the craft room.  Let me share a little  Valentine TLC with you today.  The two cards I'm featuring today were made with digis from Create with TLC:

Cupid

I transformed my image from black and white to red and white using Photoshop.  I used a Spellbinders and a Cheery Lynn die to frame my cupid and my heart border was made with a Creative Memories punch.

Amore

I also used Photoshop to display my digi in red and white.  My frame and die were made with my Cricut and I added some red burlap for texture.

Valentines Anyone?

I can't believe how long it has been since my last post, that's what happens when grandchildren come to stay for the week.  We had a super fun time and the time really went by quickly.  I treasure all our time together, they just grow up too fast!  I did make some cards while they were here and today I have a  new Valentine card using Whimsy and Stars Studio Valentine Clownie Bear by Maybelle R.O.:

I just love this cute little bear!  I decided to go with a chocolate and pink color scheme  - even with my Copics.  I kept my design simple using a Cuttlebug hearts embossing folder and a Martha Stewart heart punch to embellish my bow.  Isn't this design paper divine?  This is Bo Bunny's "Crazy Love Kisses".  I'm not sure how long I've had this in my stash, I need to dig further into my "piles".

Angel Heart

Is this not just the perfect name for this delightful digi?  I am having so much fun honing my coloring skills on Maybelle R.O.'s Whimsy and Stars Studio images!  I wish I knew the name of my design paper, I love the richness of these colors:

I used my Copic markers, a Martha Stewart punch and a Creative Memories heart border punch.  I also embossed one of my panels and my heart border.  I love all the different colors in this paper - a virtual smorgasbord to design with!  

I have two more cards I'm working on with some fabulous Whimsy and Stars Valentine digis.  I'll be posting these sometime later his month.

Whimsy and Stars Studio Bloghop

I used Basic Grey's "Lemonade" design paper and colored my image with Copic markers.    I made the pendant banner with my Cricut and the Happy Birthday flag is from Create with TLC.  The grosgrain ribbon is from my stash and the flower medallion is from Martha Stewart.
