Feeling Waspish?

I've got just the thing:

The is one of the free images available at Sugar Creek Hollow this week.  Every "Fabulous Friday" Sugar Creek Hollow has free digis at their website.

My image was torn and then inked with distress inks.  I wanted to contrast the yellow on the wasp , so I used embossed yellow dp which was lightly sanded .  The black and white polka dot dp and white and black polka dot flowers seemed like the pefect background.

About my card:
DCWV and Making Memories design paper
Cardstock from my stash
Creative Memories flowers
Ruffled Ribbon, Martha Stewart punched lace border
Copics:  C00, C1, E31, R11, Y0000, Y21, YG95

Happy Tilda - Happy Spring!

Good morning!  So glad the weekend is here - who doesn't love the weekend?  I wanted to share with you my new Magnolia Tilda, "Happy Tilda".  She was just begging to be inked and she's the perfect image for a tent card.

I used the new Basic Grey "Kisoshi" design paper and I also added something else new, "Nellie Snellen" punched flowers.  No more having to hunt through your stash to find the right colors to match your dp!

I colored Tilda with the following Copics:  G0000, G14, Y0000, Y17, Y23, YG03, YG11, YG23, YR16, E000 E00, E31, E35 E37, V0000, R11, R20, R22, B23, B63, B93, C00, C1, C3, C7.

Happy Easter wishes and blessings to all, and thanks for visiting my blog!

Fabulous Friday at Sugar Creek Hollow and Blog Hop!

Welcome to another fabulous day at Sugar Creek Hollow. I have some exciting news to share with you today, we have new digis and a Blog Hop with a special game for you to play along with! First, we would like to welcome Martha from Creating Is Fun as our April guest designer. Also hot off the press, Kelly our March GD from Sandcastle Stamper has joined the SCH family as a full time designer. Let's have a little applause for both Martha and Kelly, or better yet, leave them a comment on their blogs!

So let's play and have some fun! Today is new release day, and what better way to show you our new digis than having a game. Every design team member has a secret letter hidden in their post. Leave a comment on their blog once you find the secret letter and continue on to each member's blog to get all the letters and discover the secret word. Once you have the secret word, post the entire word on the SCH website. Now if you've played the game correctly, you will have the chance to win a fantastic prize! Just make sure you visit each team members blog and post their secret letter.  If you get lost, the blog to begin with is Stephanie.

This is a picture of the grand prize and in addition, you will also win 2 free digis of your choice!

Here is the card I created with one of the new release digis:  "Behold I stand at the door and knock".   This was kind of like my own praise session making this card.  My design paper is from K & Company and I colored using Copics.  My secret letter is "I".

Once Upon A Time

I always loved stories that began with "Once upon a time...". That just seemed like the perfect title for my latest creation. The card I have to share with you today was made with stamps from the "Princess Parade", brand new and just now in the store at Pixie Dust Studio. Kathy has redesigned her website and it looks super!
Here's my card:
I've used three new stamps on my card (I bought the Pixie pak). I cut these out and mounted them on design paper from DCWV's "Once Upon a Time" collection (hint: look at my sentiment!). I embossed Canson card stock and then cut with a MS border punch. My flower was made with a Prima hydrangea and buttons.
Copics used: G0000, G14, Y0000, Y17, Y23, YG03, YG11, YG23, YR16, E000, E00, E31, E35, E37, V0000, R11, R20, R22, B23, B63, B93, C00, C1, C3, C7
