My Week and My Granddaughter's Cards

This has been quite a week.  I attended the funeral of my uncle on Monday and then the funeral of his daughter on Wednesday.  My uncle passed away last Thursday, he had been sick for some time.  My beautiful cousin was diagnosed with liver cancer almost a year ago and died peacefully in her home last Saturday.  I was blessed to have spent some time with her on Friday and we had a great visit.  I'm sorry if I haven't been faithful on leaving comments on your blogs this week, but as you can see it has been very busy!

My daughter and grandchildren were able to come down from Falls Church,  VA and we managed to squeeze in some time in Gramie's craft room.  I just had to show you two of the beautiful cards my granddaughters made:

There's nothing more exciting than for my granddaughters to get into Gramie's craft room.  I think I am going to have to buy some more purple Stickles!  The only item that is definitely off limit is my Copic markers.

Here is my creation for this week's challenge:

This delightful little fairy is "Freckle-faced Fairy Sitting" from our weekly bonus sponsor, Digistamps 4 Joy.  My design paper is from Basic Grey's "Green At Heart" collection.  I colored my angel with my Copic markers and added "Stickles" to the wings.  I added a Prima rose, crinkly ribbon, buttons, and die cuts from several Martha Stewart punches and an EK Success punch.

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #93 for Priscilla Styles Design Team

For my first Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge card, I'd like to show you the card I created for the Priscilla Styles design team:

This is "Bird Cluster" from the Priscilla Styles Design Store, what a great digi!  My design paper is

from Basic Grey's new "Curio" collection.    I colored my birds with Copic markers and added a large Prima Hydrangea and several Stampin Up punched flowers.  I also added several die cuts and a ruffled pink ribbon.
