Welcome to Sugar Creek Hollow and another Sensational Saturday! This week our challenge is to create a vintage, shabby chic or primitive card using the technique of
PAPER PIERCING. You don't need any special tools to prick holes in your paper because a sewing needle will do the trick. If you want to use a pattern rather than just pricking holes in a line or circle and don't have any, there are quite a number of freebies out there (just Google "Free Paper Piercing Templates"). There are also lots of tutorials available. Here is my card for the challenge:
Card details:
"Tea Bird" digital image from Phindy's Place
Pink Paislee Butterfly Collection design paper
The Ribbon Retreat ruffled ribbon, eyelet lace from my stash
Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace and Flower Bed Deep Edge punches
Wild Orchid flowers
Dew Drop pearls
Copic markers
I used "
Tea Bird" from our wonderful sponsor,
PHINDY'S PLACE who will provide our random winner with a $10 gift certificate to her store. The random winner will also receive a badge to display on her blog.
Each member of the Design Team has used an image from Phindy's Place on the card that she has created for your inspiration. If you want to see the details of the cards, just click on the designer's name on my sidebar and you will be taken to her blog.
Thanks for visiting, I appreciate all your encouragement and support and I love reading your comments!
