Create with TLC Child's Play Blog Hop

Welcome to the  Create with TLC Child's Play Blog Hop!  And as a special treat from Paulette, every designer will be including the image they used today as a freebie.  Your next stop on the hop is the sensational Carla's Blog!  Carla is incredibly talented and her coloring is outstanding!  If you get lost along the way, please return to the TLC blog to get started and to see the complete list of designers.  Please kick back, grab another cup of coffee or your favorite beverage and enjoy our hop!

My image for today is "Childhood Imagination":

and the card I created:

I chose Basic Grey's Kioshi collection design paper and used a Spellbinder's die to frame my digi.  The "Once Upon A Time" paper is from Paulette's Fairy Papers collection.  If you look closely you can see cute little fairies in the trees!  I colored my image with Copic markers and used flowers from my "stash".

Please be sure to grab the "freebies" after each post!  We'd love to see what you create with these!

Thanks for visiting!   I love reading your comments and appreciate all your support!

Heartfelt Creations Alumni Blog Hop

I can't believe how quickly this month has passed by!  The last Tuesday of the month is set aside for the monthly Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team Blog Hop.  I have a new (to me) scenic  Heartfelt Creations stamp I used this month.  This just makes me long for a vacation!  If you arrived here from Clare's blog then you are on the right track.  If not, you will want to start at the beginning with Olga's blog so you don't miss any of these beautiful creations!
Outside My Window

closeup

My card base is Gina K.'s Pure Luxury white cardstock and  I stamped my image with Adirondack Pitch Black ink using Heartfelt Creations HCPC 3369 Outside My Window PreCut Set.
I used  Sizzix "Wreath" and Cuttlebug "Mary Ann" embossing folders along with the following Copic markers:

Thanks for visiting!  Your next stop on the hop is Dina's blog and she has a gorgeous creation to share with you!  Be sure to leave a comment on every blog you visit while you're hopping because one randomly chosen commenter will win a $25 gift certificate to shop at Heartfelt Creations.  You have until Friday, March 30th at midnight EST to leave your comments.  The winner will be announced Saturday, March 31st at noon.

Here is a complete hop list in case you get lost hopping:

Embrace Your Crazy

I just LOVE this sentiment from Create with TLC!  As soon as I saw this, I thought about the wild and crazy times I had with my girlfriends when we were teenagers, so I guess this is more age appropriate for me now, LOL!

card recipe:
Sentiment from Create with TLC, Art Impressions "girlfriends" stamp,
,Copic markers, design paper from Kaisercraft "Shaken Not Stirred" collection

My girlfriends and I loved nothing better than to pile into my sweet little Ford Falcon and head to the beach for a night of fun and dancing at the Nags Head Casino.  They had live bands every Friday and Saturday night that played beach music.

Thankfully I survived the teenage years and enjoy looking back!  Thanks for visiting, I love reading your comments and appreciate all your support!

"Rose is a Rose"

Spring is just around the corner and everything is budding here in the South.  Time to break out those lovely floral stamps!  "Rose Love" is a new digi sentiment from Create with TLC found in the "Rose is a Rose" collection:

Card recipe:
Create with TLC Rose Love, Spellbinders Rose Blossom Diecut
Cheery Lynn French Lattice Die, Martha Stewart Edge Punch,
SU and Georgia Pacific cardstock, Distress inks

As soon as I saw this collection, I thought of an old Spellbinder's diecut that was a favorite of mine.  I love the embossed roses, they are so easy to sponge with ink while still in the die.  The lattice makes a beautiful background for the roses and sentiment.  This was actually a quick and easy card to make!  I plan to make a few more cards with other sentiments from this collection.

Thanks for visiting, I love reading your comments and appreciate all your support!

Be Yourself

Good morning blogging friends!  No, I haven't been on vacation, my dad developed pneumonia this week and this has kept me quite busy.  He is on antibiotic and on the road to recovery, he quite the "tuff guy" for 86!

I have a card to share with you today with a fabulous sentiment from Create with TLC.  Paulette always has the perfect digi for any occasion!

Card Recipe
SU and Georgia Pacific cardstock
Marianne diecut butterflies and fronds
Cheery Lynn French Lattice die, Cuttlebug embossing folder
Prima flower

I love butterflies and this gave me the perfect opportunity to play with my Marianne dies again.  I colored my sentiment with Copic markers and decided to keep with the lilac color scheme.

Have a happy Friday everyone!  Thanks for visiting, I love reading your comments and I appreciate all your support.
