Sugar Creek Hollow Saturday Challenge

Welcome to another Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow!  This week's challenge is for you to MAKE YOUR OWN DESIGNER PAPER.  We want you to use your rubber stamps or digital stamps to create your own background paper. Then we want you to turn that into a vintage, shabby chic, primitive card or other paper crafted project. We are a vintage challenge blog so please ensure that your images and embellishments are of a vintage style and that you follow the challenge theme.

My card for this week features my own design paper created with a Stampin Up background stamp, "Victorian Lace".  My vintage image  "Vintage Lady Walking Dog" came from Create With TLC:

This week a random winner will receive a digi or our choice and a winner's badge to display.  The Design Team will choose one project as Card of the Week and that creator will also receive a badge
to display and will be in the running for a Guest Designer spot.

Our designers have created some lovely inspiration and if you want to check out the details, just click on their names and you will be taken directly to their blogs.

Thanks for visiting, I love reading your comments and appreciate all the encouragement and support!

Here is my card and project for this week:
My card was made using Verve's "Cup of Life" set.  This just seemed perfect for this week's sketch and for this awesome template I found at "Creations by AR".  I have used Petaloo's "Color Me Crazy" flowers for both my teapot and my card, the colors are a perfect match!  Also, there is even a tiny matching rose bud on my tea tag!  I just love it when everything coordinates so well!  I used a Copic marker to add my color.

Sugar Creek Hollow Sensational Saturday

Welcome to another Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow! This week we want to see cards with WING THINGS.  Your vintage, shabby chic or primitive card could feature fairies, angels, birds, butterflies or other insects.  We will be choosing one random winner who will receive a digi of our choice and a badge to display on her blog.  The Design Team will also choose a Card of the Week.  The creator of that card will receive a badge to display and will be in the running for a Guest Designer spot.

Here is my "wing things" for this week's challenge:
Nature's Song Collage

This is a gorgeous digi from Gingerloft.  I love all the elements in this vintage digi; sunflowers, butterlfies and music.  I distressed the edges of my image and kept the coloring simple, focusing on the sunflowers and butterfly.  A rose from Prima and two sunflowers make up my bouquet. My design paper is from Webster's Pages, jute and a lace ribbon complete my card.

Our designer's cards will inspire you with a variety of things with wings on them.  To get the details, click on their name and you will be taken directly to their blog.  We hope you will join us with your own "wing things" creations.  Just click on our blog here to join this week's challenge.

This week we are pleased to introduce you to CHRIS VENERUSO who was chosen as the Guest Designer from the June Cards of the Week.

Thanks for visiting, I love reading your comments and all your support and encouragement!

I chose to make a 3D project this week.  Here is my creation using these gorgeous and so versatile Petaloo Color-me-crazy flowers:
I colored my flowers with Ranger distress inks using a sponge dauber.  The flowers are so easy to color and made it possible for me to match the colors in my design paper.  I made my shoe using a template I found here.  These are just so much fun to make and decorate!
