Welcome to Sugar Creek Hollow and another Sensational Saturday.  This week we are challenging you to make SHAPED CARDS.  Now everyone will tell you a square or a rectangle is a shape and they are correct but we want you to stretch your creativity and to try making cards in lots of other shapes.  We want to remind you that we are a vintage, shabby chic or primitive inspired challenge blog so lets see your shaped cards in one of those styles.  And one other reminder - our challenges go live on Saturday morning at 8:00 am EST so please do not link to a post prior to that day and time.

Here is my shaped card this week:
Wash Basin Water Pitcher
I have a basin and pitcher just like this!  I was delighted when Priscilla created this digi, so vintage and I can use it for so many different occasions.  My card was made with the Grand Caliber, the Grand Circles and Grand Scalloped Circles.  My design paper is from My Mind's Eye 29th St. Market Carefree collection.  I used a MS border punch, lace and a Magnolia Doohickey die.

This week we have a wonderful sponsor, "priscillastyles" Store.  The random winner will receive $10 worth of digis of their choice from "priscillastyles" Store and a Sugar Creek Hollow winner's badge to display on her blog.

The Design Team will also choose a Card of the Week and that creator will receive a badge to display on her blog and will be in the running for a Guest Designer spot.

The Design Team has created some wonderful cards for your inspiration using images from "priscillastyles" Store.

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

Under Carriage Craig
My son is a mechanic so when I saw "Craig" I knew this would make a perfect birthday card. The plaid and turquoise design paper are from Basic Grey's "Oliver" collection.  I made the larger sheet of DP with distress inks and a SU background stamp, "Weathered".  The black and white plaid was made with black cardstock embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and then sponged with SU Whisper White.  Craig is colored with Copics and the bumper and embellishments were made with a Viva Decor pen.

Selected Saturday Scripture: So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:31-33 (NIV)
