Sugar Nellie Postbox

Sugar Nellie's have become quite the rage lately! I ordered this little girl just recently from Funky Kits. The design was created by Elisabeth Bell. I made this card for a challenge being held at The Sugar Bowl. The challenge ends tomorrow night so I just did make it! My design papers are from the Basic Grey Infuse collection. The ribbon is from Stamping Up and the hatpin from Blue Moon. The picket fence was created with a Martha Stewart punch and matches the navy cardstock. Sugar Nellie was colored with Prismacolor pencils and OMS. I decorated the inside of my card with the Nestabilities Label One largest die and then used the mailbox from my Sugar Nellie stamp. This was a wonderful image to work with and I liked being able to separate the mailbox. I own other Sugar Nellies and will be posting some more images soon! Hope you like my card!

Picnic Anyone?

All this cold weather has me thinking about warmer weather. So, I just had to ink up this cute Sara Kay stamp, Picnic of Daisies from Summer's store Roses On Paper . I used my Prismacolor pencils and design paper from Basic Grey. The lace border was cut with my Martha Stewart punch and the stars with my Slice.

I also decorated the inside of my card and used my Slice to cut a 4" diecut.

This was so much fun to color, let me know what you think!

A Valentine Tilda

I don't think I have every enjoyed holidays as much as I have since I started creating cards! Valentine's Day presents all kind of card making opportunities. As a child, I loved sending and receiving Valentine cards. I still enjoy receiving cards, but now my real joy is in creating and sharing my cards with others. The Valentine Tilda is actually "Tilda With Tag". She is so versatile and I love the ability to add any sentiment I want to the tag. I used my Copic markers to color and chose Basic Grey's Bittersweet collection and DCWV Sweet Stack for my design paper. My lace border was created with a Martha Stewart punch and ribbon is from Stamping Up. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think!

Melinda Hugging Heart

This is the image I colored yesterday with my Prismacolor pencils. This stamp is perfect for Valentine's Day! I used the DCWV Sweet Stack design paper and cut the two largest hearts and my sentiment with my Slice. I cut the smaller hearts with my Creative Memories punch. I popped out the layer above the sentiment to give it the appearance of an awning. This was fun to create and not too time consuming! Let me know what you think!

Two New Fairy Cards

It has been too long since I posted some new cards! My weekend was filled with scrapbooking, grandkids and church on Sunday. I spent yesterday with a friend coloring images and playing with her Craftrobo and my new Slice. I did finish two cards I was working on last night. Both images are from Susana's store. The first is "Nadine":
This card took me a while longer to finish. I could not decide on the design paper I wanted to use, and ended up using Stamping Up's Wild Wasibi cardstock and embossed with my cuttlebug. The butterflies were cut with my Slice and hand decorated. The image is "Fairy Kids With Birds". Please post a comment and let me know what you think!

Valentine Tilda

I've been busy stamping valentine Tilda's to send to the raining cards winners on my Yahoo Magnolia group. Please take a look at my card and let me know what you think!

Tilda With Tag was colored with Copic markers and I used design paper from DCWV Sweet Stack. I used the Slice to cut the two larger hearts and Nestibilities to cut and emboss the smaller hearts.

I will be posting more Valentine cards up until Valentine's Day.

Blog Candy And Some New Cards

No, not mine - but my friend Joani has some great blog candy being given away here! She is celebrating having 35,000 hits on her blog - "go Joani"! Happy Birthday to my dear beautiful daughter Betsy! This card was created with Whiff of Joy Melinda Blowing Kisses - she is so sweet! My design paper is Sweet Stack from DCWV and I used my new Slice to make the whirly embellishment. This is a great little die cutting machine! A very good friend of mine hit the big "50" this weekend. I used my Cakeabella and design paper from Cosmo Cricket Honey Pie collection. I also used my new Slice for the "50". Happy Birthday Bev!

Dusk and Dawn

Another faerie card! I received this wonderful stamp from Susana's and in the midst of finishing Christmas cards, I forgot I had not inked this one up yet. I colored both faeries with my copics and used Dovecraft Fantasy, Basic Grey and Stamping Up Vintage Violet papers. The moon and sun are just part of my artwork and seemed to go with the theme. Please take a look!

I've Been Gone Too Long!

I've been away from home celebrating my granddaughter Sophia's third birthday. I left for Falls Church on Saturday and arrived home late yesterday. I have missed my craftroom and posting to my blog, but grandchildren come first! Here is a photo of the birthday princess! She had a wonderful birthday although she did not get the DS she wanted! They sure want electronics early these days, LOL! I also want to mention that Lim has some fabulous blog candy here, she is one of the very talented designers for Roses On Paper, you will be in for a real treat! Well, I have to run - dh is calling me to help with packing away Christmas! I hope to post later with some new cards.

Great Deal!

Roses On Paper Challenge 2 - Sketch Challenge

Happy New Year everyone! What better way to start than posting an entry to Summer's blog for her latest challenge. I chose to use Whiff of Joy's "Melinda Blowing Kisses" stamp. She is from the Guardian Angel series and is just as cute as she can be. I colored her with my Copics and used Basic Grey designer paper and Stamping Up cardstock. The ribbon is also Stamping Up and the sentiment is from Cornish Heritage Farms. Please take a look!
