A "Wee One" for St. Paddy's Day
Can you believe tomorrow is the first of March? February has come and gone! I promised earlier I would post a new Tilda on my blog. Well... my new card is not a "Tilda" but she is a member of the Magnolia stamp family. This cute little "wee one" is Alva and she is actually an elf. I've decided to reinvent her for St. Patrick's day and change her into a leprechaun. I was in Michael's yesterday and picked up this cute shamrock paper which led to this design. I used PTI cardstock and my cuttlebug for the background. The butterfly was punched with my MS monarch punch. Copics were my choice for coloring - they just work so perfect for these stamps! Green stickles bring out the butterfly and the shamrocks around Alva.
Please leave a comment and let me know how you like her! And have a great weekend!

Willow With Hot Chocolate
I am still sticking to my plan! I have yet another card I created today to post. I have had this darlin' Willow from Whiff of Joy for some time, but just never got around to inking her up. I have a dear friend celebrating her birthday on the 28th of this month and this just seemed like the ideal card for her. I combined Willow with Stamping Up's "Like It A Latte" - these two stets really seemed to compliment one another.
I colored Willow with my Copics and used DCWV's Sweet Collection and Basic Grey's Bittersweet for my design paper.

Time for Apple Pie?
Making an apple pie is an act of love, right? So I felt it only right to silhouette this darlin' Sarah Kay against a lacy heart. I had actually colored this image a while back, but never took time to finish my project. She is colored with Prismacolor pencils and the filigrees were cut with my Slice. I decided to hand cut a silhouette behind her so she would stand out more.
I challenged myself this week to create and post a card on my blog every day. This is my way of making up for all the days I've missed posting. Hope you like my card - please let me know if you do!

This One's For Christine
Fairy CastleI recently attended a costume ball at my granddaughter's school. The theme was centered around Medieval times and there were so many beautiful princesses, handsome princes and knights in attendance. The centerpiece was this beautiful cake which looks more like a fairy castle to me. So, the first person I thought of was my friend Christine Riley. I just had to post this picture for her. If you love fairy tales, you will be in for a treat if you visit her blog.
I'm Baack!
I never thought I'd be away from my blog for so long! My dad underwent lung surgery earlier this month and had complications. He is on the mend and is even "spreading his wings" now. Again, I want to thank everyone for their prayers and concern.
I've certainly missed stamping and blogging. I have not even had time to visit my favorite blogs nor my favorite groups - I feel so out of touch! This is also the first afternoon I've had time to do any stamping. I did finish my dear hubby's valentine card today (shame on me!). I also stamped a couple of cards with my new Shy Bear stamps that I had previously ordered from Susanna.
I apologize to all who visited my blog and were disappointed! Please take a moment to look at my newest creations! It feels great to be back!
This is my belated valentine card, "First Kiss" by Sara Kay. I ordered this from Summer. The little heart charm has the word "love" engraved on it. I colored my image with my Prismacolors and used Basic Grey's Bittersweet collection for my design paper. I cut the largest heart with my Slice and the small hearts and heart border were punched with Martha Stewart punches.
This cute little bear is "Daisies Shy Bear". I am in love with these guys! Dh said this looked very "Fallish", but I loved the butterflies with the daisies. The design paper is from Basic Grey's Ambrosia collection. The image is colored with Copic markers and Ialso used black stickles on the nose and eyes (although they don't show up in the picture!).
