Aaack!!!

I forgot to add that when we returned home last Sunday, I had a message on my phone stating our card ministry had been "volunteered" to make ***60*** greeting cards for our district minister's meeting this coming Monday. Our ministry group met on Thursday and we have been busy little beavers! Thank heaven for digital stamps! I downloaded a cornucopia image from All That Scraps and found a traditional hymn for the inside. Here is one of the cards we created:
and the hymn inside:
Now we just have to finish assembling all the cards. Thanks for looking!

I've Been Gone Too Long!

I just wanted to post since I have been totally swamped since the middle of October. DH and I vacationed around Boone, NC for ten days and we were suprised with SNOW! Here is a picture outside our cabin door. The mountains in the foreground have a light dusting contrasted with the picture in the background:
So...we missed the fall burst of color, most of the leaves had been blown away. It was still a wonderful vacation an one we greatly needed!

Daisy Happy Birthday

My mother celebrated her 87th birthday Tuesday, October 13th. Happy birthday mom! I have had this edgeability for quite a while, but finally got a chance to try it out. I decided to cut the frame and adhere it to SU cardstock which was embossed with my cuttlebug. My only stamping was for the sentiment which is from SU.
We celebrated by taking her out to dinner and surrounding her with lots of grandchildren and great-grandchildren!

Blog Candy!

I just wanted to post and let you know about the fabulous blog candy Claudia Rosa is giving away. Check it out here!

Trick or Treat

Halloween is getting closer! I just wanted to share a card I made with Mo's Digital Pencil's "Trick or Treat". This is such a fabulous image for Halloween. I use Basic Grey's Erie collection for my design paper and SU Kiwi Kiss cardstock. The cobweb background was made with the Martha Stewart new corner and edger punches. I colored with my Copics and added Stickles to accent.
Doesn't Bronte look cute in her "kitty" costume?

Crafty Sentiments

I discovered a new stamp company, "Crafty Sentiments" on the Splitcoast Stampers website. They are having a design team call which ends today at 8 pm GMT. Here is one of my card creations I submitted, entitled "Fishing" from Mo's Digital Pencil:
This was a birthday card for my son who just celebrated his thirty-fourth birthday. I put more emphasis on my coloring than I did with embellishments, especially since this is a masculine card. I really like how the Copic colors I chose blended together with the design paper colors. The DP was from an autumn collection I purchased from Michael's.
Thanks for visiting!

Daisy

The weekends just pass by too fast. A very dear friend had a birthday celebration on Saturday. She is the person who introduced me to rubber stamping and scrapbooking so I would have a hobby when I retired. I chose a Sugar Nellie image, "Daisy" for my friend's birthday. This is such a reflective little girl designed by Elisabeth Bell. The design paper is from Basic Grey's "Lemonade" collection and the card stock is from Papertrey Ink. I also used Spellbinder's tulip pendant die and border die to showcase my image. Daisy was colored with Prismacolor pencils.
This image also reminds me that Summer is over again for the year. I love the Fall but always feel a little pang of regret leaving Summer behind. Thanks for visiting!
