My Week and My Granddaughter's Cards

This has been quite a week.  I attended the funeral of my uncle on Monday and then the funeral of his daughter on Wednesday.  My uncle passed away last Thursday, he had been sick for some time.  My beautiful cousin was diagnosed with liver cancer almost a year ago and died peacefully in her home last Saturday.  I was blessed to have spent some time with her on Friday and we had a great visit.  I'm sorry if I haven't been faithful on leaving comments on your blogs this week, but as you can see it has been very busy!

My daughter and grandchildren were able to come down from Falls Church,  VA and we managed to squeeze in some time in Gramie's craft room.  I just had to show you two of the beautiful cards my granddaughters made:

Sugar Creek Hollow Butterfly
by Sophia, age 5

"Joy Sitting", Sugar Nellie image
by Olivia, age 10
There's nothing more exciting than for my granddaughters to get into Gramie's craft room.  I think I am going to have to buy some more purple Stickles!  The only item that is definitely off limit is my Copic markers.

Hold your loved ones close and enjoy every moment.  Thanks for visiting!

Life is so short. I'm so sorry for your loss.

The cards by the grandchildren are gorgeous. I see they get their talent from their grandmother.

Oh Marsha - what a week - hold those grand daughters close and love them to bits as only a gramie can!!

Love those cards, especially Sophia's with the purple stickles - makes the butterfly look as though it is flying in a cloud!!

Blessings

It's so hard to say no when the kids want to create isn't it? There's very little on my "NO" list with my daughter. It's usually my expensive crocheted lace ribbons. She's even worked her way into my copics. It's tough to tell her she can't when I see how much better her work is when I let her use them. I'm sorry for what you had to go through this week. That must have been so difficult. You're so right! Enjoy every second you spend with your loved ones.
