Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team Blog Hop

This is the last Tuesday of the month and the day for the monthly Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team Blog Hop.  I love creating with Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies.  There are just so many possibilities!  If you arrived here from Carla's blog then you are on the right track.  If not, you will want to start at the beginning with Olga's blog so you don't miss any of these beautiful creations!

My card base is Neenah Solar White as well as my embellishments made with Spellbinder's Parisian Motifs and Heartfelt Creations HDC 702 die.   I stamped my image  with Adirondack Pitch Black ink using Heartfelt Creations HCPC 3365 Decorative Vintage Cross PreCut Set.   I used  Copic Markers BG70, C1, E41, YG95 and YR30.  My card front was cut using Spellbinder's Grand Ovals and a recessed window technique.

Thanks for visiting!  Your next stop on the hop is Clare's blog and she has a gorgeous creation to share with you!  Be sure to leave a comment on every blog you visit while you're hopping because one randomly chosen commenter will win a $25 gift certificate to shop at Heartfelt Creations.  You have until Friday, March 3rd at midnight EST to leave your comments.  The winner will be announced Saturday, March 4th at noon.

Here is a complete hop list in case you get lost hopping:

Walking in Sunshine

Well, I'm definitely not walking in sunshine today, just the opposite here in the not so sunny South.  Thankfully the strong winds have subsided and we're not treading water or shoveling snow!  My little cutie today is "Rose's Garden" from Stampavie.  The fabulous sentiment is from Create with TLC's "Encore" collection:

I colored Rose with Copic markers and cut an oval doily with my Cricut.  The design paper is from Basic Gray and the lace is from my stash.  Also, almost forgot to add that Rose's shirt is paper pieced from the design paper pattern.

Have a happy Monday and thanks for visiting!  I love reading your comments and appreciate all your support.

Just Dream

Well, my part of the Carolinas was spared all the snow that fell this weekend.  I've been watching the weather channels and reading on Facebook about all the snowfall.  Living close to the coast, we receive more rain than snow.  Yesterday was just the perfect day to stay indoors and stay snuggly warm and dry.  I only ventured outside to go to church and feed my dog later in the day.  She is a lab and thought the weather was perfect!  I did not even make it to my craft room!  I was hypnotized by a movie on TV and my nice comfy couch.

Today I have another Create with TLC creation to show you, "Dream".  This is in the set "Comfort Dream Success".

I used a Sizzix A2 embossing folder and one of the smaller folders in the set to create the backdrop for my sentiment.  I sponged distress ink on the small folder before embossing and then trimmed it before adhering to my card.  The ruffled ribbon is from The Ribbon Retreat.  I used just a touch of Copics for my image.  This would be a quick card to create and could be used lots of ways.

TLC Fairy Tale Blog Hop!

Welcome to the  Create with TLC Fairy Tale Blog Hop!  And as a special treat from Paulette, every designer will be including the image they used today as a freebie.  Your next stop on the hop is the sensational Carla's Blog!  Carla is incredibly talented and her coloring is outstanding!  If you get lost along the way, please return to the TLC blog to get started and to see the complete list of designers.  We would also like to welcome our guest designer for today, Jan Wheatley.  Please kick back, grab another cup of coffee or your favorite beverage and enjoy our hop!

My image for today is "Will Be Queen":

and the card I created:

I chose My Mind's Eye design paper and used my Cricut for my embellishments and frame.  The sentiment and "Q" are also from Paulette's collection.  I framed my image with a Sizzix embossing folder and carefully trimmed this before adhering to an embossed panel.  What's with all the purple???  I think a purple people eater got hold of me, LOL!  Actually, when I think of royalty the color purple always comes to mind.  I just went kinda crazy with all my "V" Copics!

Please be sure to grab the "freebies" after each post!  We'd love to see what you create with this!

Thanks for visiting!   I love reading your comments and appreciate all your support!

Creating with TLC Design Team Blog Hop Tomorrow!

Just a reminder!!! TLC will be hosting their February Fairytale blog hop tomorrow!  All the designers plus one guest designer will have some fabulous creations to show you, be sure to mark your calendars and don't  miss the fun!

Comfort

Do you sometimes have trouble deciding on the perfect sentiment?  I try to keep a good selection on hand for sympathy cards.  I found this fabulous sentiment from Create with TLC and decided to use this for the design on my card front:

I used a minimum of coloring on the image, just some pink and green from my Copics and I embossed the panel with a Cuttlebug folder.  The frame was designed using one of my Cricut carts and the ruffled ribbon is from The Ribbon Retreat.  I love SU cardstock and found this pink in my stash.  This was easy to create and I love the elegance!

Thank You

Sometimes it's hard to find just the right image to go with a special "thank you".  I searched for quite a while before I found this little cutie from Whimsy and Stars digi called "Angel Heart".  The sentiment is from Create with TLC.  My friend was such a blessing when my mom passed away, she literally came in and did whatever that needed to be done.   We had so many relatives and friends that visited to pay their respects and of course in the South there is always so much food that is brought in for the family!  So here is the special card I created for her:

Angel Heart

and these are the Copic markers I used.

My design paper is from my stash and I made my flower and embellishments with my Cricut.

Bingo with Mo!

I think my title is kinda catchy today, I have a Valentine card to show you I created for one of my best friends.  She is definitely a "cat" person and when I saw this image over on Mo Manning's site, I knew this would be perfect for her!  I made my card according to the rules for Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge #121.  The requirements are to create a card using 3 elements on the bingo card in correct bingo order:

Cat Love
Bingo elements:  dies, brads, dry embossing

I think these kitties are just adorable!  I had fun creating this with all the kitty elements.  I used my "Meow" Cricut cartridge for many of the diecuts and a Sizzix and Cricut embossing folder.  My design paper is from Basic Grey's "Oliver" collection.

A Valentine for Your Sweetie

Valentine's Day is right around the corner!  I'm enjoying all of Paulette's images from Create with TLC.   Here is a card I made using "Love and Flowers Collage".   This is a great image and will look beautiful with so many different design papers.

I thoroughly enjoy coloring images, but when I'm in a hurry it's so easy to pick a digi that is already colored.  My design paper is from My Mind's Eye "Miss Caroline".  My heart doilies were made with Cricut's Victorian Romance cartridge.  I sized one of the hearts so I could use it as a collar around my bow.  The paper is so decorative I didn't see the need to add any more embellishments!

Vintage Date

I just love combining images and sentiments!  I have taken this elegant vintage image from Create with TLC's  "Vintage Date" and combined it with the perfect sentiment from Paulette's "Women Equal Strength" collection.

Vintage Date

I used Cricut's CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge, Ornamental Iron 2 and a Spellbinder's die for my diecuts.  The ribbon, lace and design paper are from my stash.  The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I just love the dramatic effect of black and white although I don't use it that often.  I think I need to experiment more!  Do you find yourself using the same colors most of the time?  This sounds like a good excuse to visit the craft stores, LOL!
