Well, sadly summer is officially over after today, it just seemed like it went by way too fast this year! I have had a fabulous week at Pawley's Island in South Carolina and leaving for home in a few hours. The weather was perfect and the ocean was just delicious. The best part was spending time with my daughter, SIL and grandchildren. This was the perfect way to say adieu to summer.
For this month's challenge, Kelly asked us to create a card honoring our mom or dad. Her inspiration came from Exodus 20:12 "Honor your father and mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you." My dad is still alive so I am honoring him today with a card I created based on his love for farming.
Please take a moment and visit my blogging sister's blogs and see their creations. They are listed on my sidebar. Wishing everyone a blessed day and a happy and safe Labor Day!

What a beautiful scene you've created here! I can almost smell the fresh, damp soil! A great card for this month's challenge.
Beautiful card, Marsha! Love the touch of burlap, too! Blessings, friend!
Your card turned out as great as your memory! I love the background and how you placed the image. The rugged burlap and sentiment look great. :)
