Heartfelt Creations Wrought Iron Cross

I can't believe I never posted this on my blog!  I'd like to share with you today a card I made for Heartfelt Creations:
Wrought Iron Cross
inside

Products Used on This Card
HCPC 3366 Wrought Iron Cross PreCut Set
HCD 702 Decorative Butterfly-Border Die
Labels 4 Nestabilities
Other: Heirloom Ornaments Nestabilities, Labels 11, Parisian Accents, Copic markers: V0000, V01, V12, E21, E41, G82, Y32, Gold Smooch, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
I used a new pleated paper technique in designing this card after finding a fabulous tutorial by Becca Feeken.  I cut two strips of paper two inches wide and scored every quarter inch.  I then trimmed the strips accordingly and fanned them out in an oval pattern.  My cross was colored with Copic markers, cut out freehand and then adhered to a panel cut with an Heirloom Ornament die before being placed on my pleated paper.  My frame was created with the Grand Labels die.  I used Recollections pearls and pearl dew drops to encircle the knot on my silk ribbon.  The cardstock is from Bazzill and my design paper is from My Mind’s Eye 29th Street Market collection. I designed the inside with the same Grand Labels die and adhered my frame to AC Cardstock.  I then used a butterfly from the Decorative Butterfly-Border Die set and a sentiment from the Wrought Iron Cross PreCut set.  My sentiment is mounted on two labels from the Labels 4 set.  All corner embellishments were made with the Parisian Accents set.

Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow

Welcome to another Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow.  This week our challenge is all about embellishments - HAND MADE PAPER FLOWERS, VINTAGE LACE & BLING.

Here is my creation for this week's challenge, my image is from Clearly Vintage and my sentiment from Create With TLC.
I made my flowers out of a dress paper pattern and design paper from K. and Company.   My lace came from a really old store in our downtown section so I know it has to be "vintage"!  I also added ribbon, a stickpin, a fancy corner and a Spellbinder's Classic Frame.

We want you to use all of the embellishments listed above on your card or other paper-crafted creation. If you don't have truly vintage lace, just use something that has the appearance of being old. Don't forget that our challenges are for your vintage, shabby chic or primitive inspired projects.  So rummage through your craft stash and challenge yourself to try your hand at one of these styles using the theme for this week.  We can't wait for you to show us what you come up with.

We will be choosing a random winner, who will receive a winner's badge to display and a digi of our choice. The Design Team will also select a Card of the Week and the creator of that card will receive a badge to display and will be in the running for a Guest Designer spot.

Thanks for visiting, I love to read your comments!

Heartfelt Creations Bold Bella Rose Tag

Here is my second Heartfelt Creations project for this week, Bella Rose Tag:

Tag size is 5 1/8”x2 3/8”

Other: Spellbinders Labels 10, Large Deckled Mega Rectangles, Parisian Motifs, Pearl Dew Drops, organdy ribbon.  Georgia Pacific, Stampin Up and Bazzill cardstock, Melody Ross Soul Food design paper.  Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Copics: YG95, R39, N5, Twinkling H20‘s, Old Paper Distress Inks, Viva Decor Clear gel.
Cut out tag using Spellbinder’s Deckled Rectangle.  Punch hole in top center of tag and glue Parisian Motif diecuts on front and back of tag being sure to align together.  Ribbon can be tied through either the top of diecut or hole in tag.  Cut design paper with smaller Deckled Rectangle and assemble remainder of tag. After coloring rose with Copic markers, apply Viva Decor Clear gel to blooms.  Color butterfly with Twinkling H20’s. All stamped images, papers and embellishments were glued with Beacon Zip Dry and Fabri Tac glue and an ATG 714 tape gun.
This coordinates with my card from last Wednesday's post on May 25th:
