Happy Birthday and Applause!

Today is my son's 33rd birthday - Happy Birthday Trey! Where did all the time go and how did you turn 33 while my back was turned? This one's for you! This is the "Farmyard Fun" set is from Little Paper Shop. I also have a very dear friend who is celebrating her birthday today. I chose "Halobella" from Stamping Bella since this is so about her! Berta is an angel in disguise. She always puts others before her and is the first to offer her help for any and everything. I am honored to be her friend. Happy Birthday Berta! I want to applaude Carolyn King. She is donating all the proceeds from her set, "Whimsical Autumn" to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of her grandmother. Check out her website to see all the wonderful cards submitted at http://myblogbycammie.blogspot.com/. She designed this set for Gina K. Designs where she serves as Illustrator and Senior Design Team Member. September 21 was World Alzheimer's Day. This is especially dear to my heart as my mother is also a victim of alzheimers. Here is the card I made from the PTI "Anniversary Set" to send to the Brian Center in Hertford, NC where she currently resides.

Have a wonderful Saturday everyone, I am off to birthday parties today!

Magnolia Time

I have been missing stamping with my little Magnolia angels. This morning I stamped one of the new Fall Kit images of Tilda holding a leaf over her head. I was playing with a new cuttlebug die and the card took shape almost on it's own! All that was needed was a "trick or treat" Tilda. Bunny Tilda to the rescue again!

These are just too much fun!

I'm Back!

What a busy time I've had lately! I took a break on Saturday and went to "Celebrate Virginia" with my scrapbooking buddies. I have a large vacation album I am working on - it will be a year in October since I went to Cades Cove in Tennessee. I am an amateur photographer and I can gorge myself on all the beautiful nature shots in this national park. I'll bet I had at least 300 photographs to choose from!
I've been neglecting creating cards too! I've been busy planning my open house for this Sunday. I have all my TAC supplies and two stamping "make and takes". I finished getting the accessories together this afternoon and had time to make some cards. To celebrate my open house, I have these two cards from The Angel Company collection. The first one is a cardinal from the set, "All Things Of Nature":

My second TAC card is from the "Gerbera Daisy" set. This is colored with Prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits (OMS):

Just for fun, I have to post this delightful Christmas card from Alota Rubber Stamps, "Bugs Decorating Tree":

This was just too much fun coloring with my Copic markers! Well, back to busyness!

Think Christmas!

I can't believe how long it has been since I posted a card! I have been recovering from a nasty virus that hit me last weekend. Glad that is over! I just had to post a picture of my newest card creation using The Angel Company set, "Silhouette Nativity". I just love the Amelia cardstock I used with this: I will be creating more Christmas cards and posting next month. I'm going to be busy preparing for my first "Open House" since signing on as a TAC demo. The date is as week from this Sunday. Sounds like plenty of time? Well.... there are always a zillion things that pop up at the last minute. I've got to run now, going to the land of shopping malls with dh. He thinks he is just going to a doctor's appointment, LOL!

Bunny Tilda Caught "Trick or Treating"!

This little bunny just made her way to my collection of growing Magnolia stamps. My grandson, Aiden, went Trick or Treating last year as a lion, so I thought, why not let "Bunny Tilda" go since she is already in costume. I just had to remove the Easter eggs and replace those with Halloween candy. The background papers were such fun to play with. All you have to do is let your imagination run wild......Spooky, huh?

I also inked up a TAC set that has been sitting in my stash. I live close to the ocean and especially love lighthouses. This set is called "Pullupanchor". Then I decided to play with the cows again. "What's Moo' is also a favorite of mine. I decided to ink up just one cow and then add flowers for her. I love adding flowers, most of my designs include them. I am also an amateur photographer, and I am aways snapping photos of .......you guessed it! "Flowers"!

Hannah Heads Out of Here

We felt the effects of tropical storm Hannah today. This morning started out very windy with bands of rain. Our highest wind gusts were 65 m.p.h. I know we received at least 2 inches of rain. I don't have the reports about flooding, but that was our main concern in this area since we are located close to a large river. We were very fortunate and sustained very little damage. We will have a big job removing limbs out of our yard. So I cannot complain!
I did have time to stamp today - dh and I decided it would be safer not to venture out. I inked up one of the first TAC sets I purchased, Heiroglyphic Horses. We used to raise horses and I've always had a love for them, so I could not resist this set. Here is the card I created:

I can almost hear the delightful whinny!

Feeling Fallish?

This little Tilda has been waiting for just the right setting to make her appearance on my blog. I decided to enter the Friday Sketchers contest and she was just perfect for the role! These little darlings are just so much fun to create cards with. Here she is:

Thanks for looking!

Happy Labor Day

Happy Labor Day everyone! It is a beautiful day in sunny Carolina. My prayers are with those in the Gulf states right now as Gustav bears down on them. I hope everyone living in the path of the storm has relocated to a safe place.
I stamped some new Magnolia images and I have posted Tilda With Glasses in a school frame. The background stamp is from Alota Rubber and I have colored this with my copics. I would love to stamp all day! These little darlings are so much fun to stamp and color.
