Fabulous Friday at Sugar Creek Hollow

Friday is here already!  Time for another Sugar Creek Hollow Fabulous Friday creation.  This week the challenge was to make a Mother's Day card.

I chose one of the Cameo ladies and applied Crackle Accents to the image.  I then used the frame from a Hummingbird stamp.  My design paper is from Graphics 45, Le' Romantique Collection.  I added dew drop pearls and Prima roses as well as crocheted lace.  I colored my image with Copic markers E000, E00, R20, Y21, E31, E35 and BG10.  I also painted Luminarte Natural Linen around the image and Egyptian Gold on the frame.

I hope my mom likes it!  Thanks for visiting and please check out my other design team member's creations.

Pixie Dust Studio Challenge #19, Tag You're It!

Running late today!  Here's my entry for Pixie Dust Studio's current challenge which is to make a tag card.  I used Pixie P again, she is just too too cute!  I decided I wanted a Pixie in my pocket!  Why not?

I believe my design paper is from Heidi Grace, I found it in my stash.  My card stock is from Bazzill.  Pixie P is colored with Copic markers and she is adhered to a scallop panel surround by white and pink daisies.  I added crocheted lace to my pocket with a button.  This was a fun and easy challenge!

Thanks for visiting!  I'll be traveling on the road tomorrow.

Tiddly Inks Challenge

Whew!  Just did make it by the skin of my teeth!  I so wanted to participate in the first ever Tiddly Inks challenge!  This is such a cutie, and who doesn't love cupcakes?

I used Basic Grey design paper and Canson card stock and of course a few Prima flowers for color.  The Copics I used were:  R11, R14, R20, R22, E00, E33, E51, Y0000, YG0000, Y21, Y23, YG03, YG06, YG11.

Critter Sketch Challenge #11

The challenge for my group this week at the Critter Sketch Challenge Blog was to follow this sketch and add buttons to our creation:

I chose "Masked Fairy in Green" from Sweet Pea Stamp's Ching-Chou Kuik's Fantasy Art Collection.  Paper Jewels has a wonderful selection of these fabulous stamps.

Masked Fairy in Green

My design paper is from K and Company and my card stock is from Canson.  All my flowers were made with Nellie Snellen punches with dew drops added.  I used Martha Stewart punches for my border trims.  My "buttons" were added to my two bows.  I colored my fairy with Copic markers but alas, the marker details have failed to surface from my craft room.

Thanks for visiting and be sure to visit the challenge blog here to enter and also to see my team mate's creations!

Princess Pollywog and Prince Tadpole

Do you ever find that you have sooo much paper that you forget what you have?   Well, so do I!  I've had these cutie patootie frogs from Pixie Dust Studio for a while and never made a card with them.  I was looking through my "stash" and found just the cutest design paper to use with "Tadpole" and "Pollywog".  It is "Nature Walk" by Doodlebug Design, Inc.

I decided to place them on a tent card, these are just so easy peasy to make.  Prince Tadpole is just gazing at Princess Pollywog with such love and admiration.  I wonder if he has the key to her heart (note locket on the side)?  I added raffia lace and prima roses and colored with my Copic markers.  The card stock is from Stampin Up.

Copics:
Y0000, Y21, YR21, YG11, YG23, C1, C5, C7, G000, G14, BV0000, BV02, BV04, B0000, B00, B02, BG01

Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Bundle of Joy

Happy Saturday!  I was invited to a baby shower today and of course I could not "buy" a card.  I chose this cute little digital stamp from Pink Cat Studio, "Giraffe & Monkey".  I chose PTI design paper, three different patterns from the same collection.  The design paper is actually adhered to a panel of embossed card stock.

This was actually an easy and pretty quick card to make.  The Copics I used were:  R0000, R11, R20, R22, E000, E11, E31, E33, Y21, and Y23.

Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!

Sugar Creek Hollow Fabulous Friday

Time for another Sugar Creek Hollow Fabulous Friday!  I love birds and decided to use the Barn Swallow image to make another card.  This time I really went vintage with my K and Company and Making Memories design paper.  I decided I liked the color combinations of hunter green, turquoise, brown and PTI Chai ink.

I made my flower with a Spellbinders die and an old button from my button tin.  My Barn Swallow was colored with Copic markers:  B95, B93, B23, B0000, E39, E35, E33, E31, C00, C3, R22.

Thanks for visiting and be sure to check out my team members creations! Just click on the link and be sure to leave them some "love" and don't forget your free digital image available here. Have a "fabulous friday" and thanks for visiting!

Card Ministry Today

Today has been busy, busy, busy!  I had the Card Ministry meet at my home today and I've decided I will continue to do this in the future - just too much "stuff" to haul from my home to the church social hall!

I would like to share a few creations the ladies made today.  Their cards are not entirely finished, but I thought it would be fun to give you a peek!

This was created with the Stampin Up set "Heartfelt Sympathy".  SU markers were used to color the flower and the stamp misted with water before stamping the image.

These two images were also stamped with images from SU.  The flowers are from a SU set which I believe is called "Morning Glory".  The lighthouse is from the "Coast to Coast" set.  Both images were colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with OMS.

We had a wonderful time and the ladies love making cards and socializing.  Now what could be better?

Thanks for visiting!

Pixie Dust Studio Challenge #18

This is my latest creation for Pixie Dust Studio Challenge #18.  The challenge this week was to use green for the main color.  I used Pixie P and Baby Pea stamps from Kathy's newest designs, I think these are just adorable!

This card took me soooo long!  My eight year old granddaughter spent the day with me recovering from a virus and she wanted to make cards with me.  Well needless to say, she created cards while I answered questions and helped her.  It was a fantastic day, I loved every minute and I think I have another future designer in the family.

My design paper is from Basic Grey and my card stock from Stampin Up.  I added lots of flowers and some Spellbinders die cuts.  This was a lot of fun when I actually got to work on it!  I used Copic markers to color, but somehow somewhere the list has grown legs and disappeared.

Thanks for visiting and a special thank you to all who voted for our team, The Stampin Farmettes Sisters in the Greeting Farms Battle of the Design Teams.  We did not make round 5 but we had loads of fun!

The Greeting Farms Battle of the DT's - Week 4

We're so excited!  Our design team received enough votes to continue on to week 4.  Thank you to everyone who voted for us and we'd love to have your votes for this week's challenge.  This week was Kelly's turn and the project was a treat container.  Her husband is a firefighter in the Air Force and I love that she was able to get her inspiration from that.

We're the Stampin Farmettes Sisters and we'd love your vote here...if we continue on, it will be my turn next week!

The Pixie Cottage Challenge #14 - Buttons

Button, button, who's got the button?  Well I never actually played that game, that's even older than I am!  This little phrase just ran through my mind when I saw this week's Pixie Cottage challenge.  The guest sketch this week is from Priscilla from the extremely popular Midnight Madness blog.  Here is the card I created following the sketch:

The stamp I used is Dahlia from The Greeting Farm, she is such a cutie!  I used DCWV design paper and card stock.  I made my flowers with Nellie Snellen punches and my decorative border with  an EK Success punch.  I have three buttons on my card decorated with pearl dew drops.  Copics used:  R11, R20, R22, E000, E00, E21, C00, C1, C5, C7, YG03, YG06.

Collie Flower - Crafty Critter Challenge #25

I hope everyone is having a great weekend.  I have just enough time this morning to share this card I made for my blogging group challenge.  This is "Collie Flower" from Meljen Designs.  Isn't this just the cutest doggie?  Our challenge was to create a card with a flower, dry embossing and the following SCS sketch SC273:

And here's my creation:

I used DCWV design paper and card stock and embossed with my Cuttlebug.  I sanded the embossed area to make it stand out more.  I added a Prima flower and other punched flower parts, topped off with a pearl dew drop.  I used the following Copic markers:  Y17, Y21, R11, R20, R22, C00, C1, E31, E33, E35, E51, B0000, YG03, YG06.

Lilly from Soft Pencil

I missed the challenge for "Ribbons and Bows" but I still wanted a chance to play with Elizabeth's design "Lilly" from Soft Pencil Digital Stamps.  I think she is so cute and I had hoped to have her ready for a card at Easter, but ya' know how that goes!  Anyway, here is my card creation:

I decided to go all out with ribbon,  I have raffia ribbon, lace ribbon with roses, and two different sizes of pink satin ribbon.  I also added lots of flowers, some are Prima Hydrangea's and the others I cut with my Spellbinders Poinsettia die.  I added an angel charm which says "Hope".  "Lilly" was colored with Copic markers:  E000, E00, E31, E33, E35, E51, R11, R20, R22, C00, C1, Y17, G0000, YG03, YG23,  and RV0000.

Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!

Sensational Saturday Sketch Challenge - It's not too late!

It's not too late!  There's still time to participate in the SSSC at Sugar Creek Hollow!  Here is the sketch and the card I  created:

This is just one of the four cards available in the Alpha Vintage Flash Cards set in Tracey's store here.  These are just so versatile.  I pulled out my "vintagey" Webster's Pages as my design paper and used Stampin Up cardstock.  I cut out stars and adhered to the top right and bottom left corners (hard to tell from the real ones, huh?).  I then used ribbon - I especially love the ruffled lace ribbon that's now available!  I used a few Copics to colors my apple (R29, E000, G99, and YG63) and distressed the rest of my card with Jim Holtz "Antique Linen" and PTI "Chai" inks.

Don't forget to come play with us and thanks for visiting!

Sugar Creek Hollow Fabulous Friday

It's Friday already and that means another "Fabulous Friday" at Sugar Creek Hollow.  Be sure to check out all the new designs and get your free digi!   This week the design team was challenged to create a card using the following sketch:

I had to definitely think about this for a while, but this is the card creation I came up with;

And here's a view of the base of my easel card:

I've used a stamp from the Alphabet Flash Cards set.  These are so versatile, you can choose from A to D.  I sponged distressed ink over my image and the edges.  My die cut embellishments are from Spellbinders "Timeless Heritage", they really add to the vintage look.  I added crocheted lace and a ruffled lace ribbon, sunflowers and a flower I created.  My design paper is from the Pinkpaislee "Queen Bee" collection.

Thanks for visiting and be sure to check out the other design team member's creations!

Blogger Award

I was awarded a "Sweet Blogger" award by my friend Elizabeth who owns Soft Pencil Digital Stamps.   This was so kind and I will be passing this on in the future!

Thanks again Elizabeth!

Adirondack Chair

Brrrr!  Where did Spring go?  The chill is back in the air, but only temporarily.  As I was thinking about a card to create, this Lockhart stamp just grabbed me!  I'd love to be sitting in the nice warm sun in a chair just like this.

This was fun to put together.  I used Heidi Grace "A Little Bird's Tale" design paper and Stampin Up card stock.  I added a sunflower, pearl dew drops and satin and raffia lace ribbon.  Copics used:  YG0000, YG03, YG06, Y08, Y11, Y21, G14, E13, E19, E51, C00 and C1.

Thanks for visiting and thing S-P-R-I-N-G!

Bunny Love - Meljen Challenge #2

The challenge at Meljen's Designs this week was to see some "girly colors".  I picked out these cute little bunnies for my card which were a freebie.  Aren't they adorable!  Now I added lavender and pink "girly" colors which are in such abundance in Basic Grey's "Kioshi" collection.

I added raffia lace, paper lace and two types of ribbon plus a heart charm and stick pin.  Girly all the way!  I used the following Copics:  R11, R20, R22, C00, C1, B0000, B93, YG11, YG63, YG67, Y11, Y21, YR21 and E50.
