Critter Sketch Challenge #50

Welcome to this week's Critter Sketch Challenge!   Our challenge this week is s a sketch challenge designed by very own Colleen.

I chose this delightful snowman digi, "Snowman-Sign" from The Stamping Boutique.
I could not for the life of me bring myself to use any more "snowy" or "Christmasy"design paper, instead I chose Basic Grey's "Wisteria" collection.   I made medallions with a Tim Holz die from SU DP and then punched snowflake embellishments.  My snowman is mounted on a Spellbinders lacey circle and I also used a Spellbinders scallop die.   My coloring was done with Copic markers.

We'd love to have you join us for this week's sketch challenge!  Just follow the instructions and link to our challenge here.  Also, please take a moment and visit our design team's blogs for inspiration, they'd love to receive a comment from you!

Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow

It's another Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow!  This week our challenge is to create a card using SCH's birdhouse digital image, one of my favorites!  I just decided to let myself get carried away with "hearts", lattice hearts, scalloped hearts...
I used My Mind's Eye "Love Nest" collection for my design paper - isn't that just perfect for a birdhouse?  The birdhouse is colored with Copic markers to match the colors in my DP.  My hearts were cut with Spellbinders dies and a Martha Stewart punch.  I used Magnolia "Doohickey" dies for my branch and flourish.

We'd love to have you join our challenge this week to create a VINTAGE VALENTINE.  I'd love to visit your blogs and see your creations!

Sugar Creek Hollow Butterfly

I just couldn't wait to show you this fabulous butterfly designed by Tracy for Sugar Creek Hollow.  I decided to try creating my card with white on white.  Now that was a challenge, or I should say created for a challenge at Flutterby Wednesday!  This week's challenge is to create a card with a butterfly, fairy or angel using white on white - only the image colored.
I had a Spellbinder's party using all these different dies, this was really a lot of fun!  I did add a Martha Stewart border to my card, pearl dew drops and a ribbon.  I decided my butterfly should be in shades of violet using my Copics.  I just had to add a touch of glitter too!

Midnight Madness Challenge #88

It's Tuesday and that means a brand new Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge!   I'd like to show you my creation for this week's challenge and then move on to the details:
I saw this little angel in the Digi Doodle Shop and could not resist!  I framed her with "Crowned Oval Hearts" digital frame designed by Raindrop Echo for Whimsy Stamps.  I colored her with my Copic markers and sponged the edges.  The DP is from Basic Grey's "Bittersweet" collection.  I used a Martha Stewart border and corner punch for my lace and added pearl dew drops.  The flowers are Prima roses lightly colored with a Copic marker.  My hearts are also from a Martha Stewart punch and painted with Crystal Effects.
Here is the sketch for this week's challenge:

Sugar Creek Hollow Sensational Saturday

It's a Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow!  This week our challenge is a "Splash of Color "challenge.  Create a card using black and white and one other color.  I am just so in love with this vintage"Valentine Postcard" Tracy designed!  I knew this would be perfect for this challenge.
Have I ever told you how much I love digital images?  Not only can you change the size of your image, you can also change the color of the digital ink.  I found a color in my Photoshop program that matched the design paper I used, Pink Paislee's  "Bayberry Cottage".

I went crazy using die cuts on this card!  I was excited to use my new Heartfelt Creations Spellbinders die, "Decorative Window Scene".   I also used a Martha Stewart border die and a Magnolia Doohickey die.  I just had so much fun making this card!

We'd love to have you join our challenge this week, just create a card using the colors black, white and one other color of your choice.  You are not required to use a Sugar Creek Hollow image, but if you do you will get two entries into the random prize drawing.   The winner of the drawing will receive a digi of their choice from Sugar Creek Hollow and a badge to display on their blog.  Once we reach a minimum of 10 entries, the Design Team will select a Card of the Week and the creator of that card will receive a special badge to display on their blog.  Every month there will be a Guest Designer chosen from the Cards of the Week and that person will be invited to join the Design Team in a challenge.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge

Stampin' Sisters in Christ has a wonderful challenge going on this week, create a card or project with the theme of "new".   I wanted to enter the card I created for the Midnight Madness Design Team, so forgive me for posting this twice, but I need a "new" link to enter!  I just think Priscilla's "love birds" are such a beautiful image for "new" love.
I painted my wreath and birds with Copic markers and then used a Spellbinder's heart die to mount them on.  The heart was pained with Lindy's Stamp Gang's "poinsettia red gold".  I added lace, a MS heart border, satin ribbon and heart charms.  My design paper is from My Mind's Eye "Love Nest" collection.

Thanks for visiting today!

Other challenges entered:
Bunny Zoe's Craft Challenge - love in in the air

"YOUR CHOICE"
This week I have two cards I created for the challenge.  The first is for the Midnight Madness Design Team:
I used "Love Birds" digital stamp from the Priscilla Styles Store for my card.  The heart underneath the love birds  was painted with Lindy''s Stamp Gang's "Poinsettia Red Gold".  My design paper and sentiment is from My Mind's Eye "Love Nest" collection.

My second card is for the Priscilla Styles Design Team:
I used one of the butterflies from the Priscilla Styles Store digital set "Butterfly Digi Set of 3", of course I couldn't make just one!  They were painted with one of my new favorite paints from Lindy's Stamp Gang, the "Poinsettia Red Gold".  I just had to use this color again with the design paper I chose.  I used My Mind's Eye "Laundry Line" and "Fancy Pants Designs".  My heart design I have to credit to a class I took on CDAC which will run through Valentine's Day.  Don't miss this one!

I used silver card stock from Canson and the blue is from SU.  I printed my snowmen on Basic Grey "Figgy Pudding" design paper.  My sentiment is from Create with TLC.  I embossed my silver paper and embellished with pearl dew drops.  My snowmen were colored with Copic markers.

Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow

It's a Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow!  This week our challenge is to create a card using fabric (not a bow).  My fabric is the incy wincy scrap behind the lattice heart.  I also used lace, although I'm not sure if that qualifies as a fabric.

Here's my card using some brand new Valentine images recently added to the shoppe, "Valentine Birdhouse" and "H Tag".  I've also used "Vintage Ticket" for my sentiment.

I distressed the edges of both my tag and birdhouse and then sponged with Tim Holtz distressed ink.  My design paper is from My Mind's Eye "Love Nest" and card stock from SU.  I used a Viva Decor Pearl Pen and Martha Stewart lattice hearts.  All my coloring was done with Copic markers.

We'd love to have your join our challenge this week, just create a card using fabric.

Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow

It's a brand new year and a Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow!  This is our first sketch challenge of the year and I have a new creation to share with you:
Vintage Kitty
and here's a close up:
I used Tracey's "Meowy Christmas" stamp - it's just too cute! The digital image color was changed in Photoshop.  I used Basic Grey's Cappella collection, a Prima rose, Maya Road stickpin and a Spellbinder's die for my tag.  My oval is decorated with dew drops and I used a satin ribbon matching the color of my image.

Here is the sketch for the challenge:

Everyone is invited to enter a card using this sketch and you are not required to use an image from Sugar Creek Hollow but if you do you will get two entries into the random prize draw.  The winner of that draw will receive a digi of their choice from the Sugar Creek Hollow Shoppe and a badge to display on their blog.  Once we reach a minimum of 10 entries, the Design Team will select a Card of the Week and the creator of that card will receive a special badge to display on their blog.  Every month there will be a Guest Designer chosen from the Cards of the Week and that person will be invited to join the Design Team in a challenge.  There are lots of reasons to enter so we can't wait to see your fabulous creations!
