Critter Sketch Challenge #54

Monday's are exciting because that's when we have our Critter Sketch Challenge!  This week's challenge is to create a card using a sentiment.

I chose a sentiment, actually a scripture from Our Daily Bread Designs's "Scripture 1 Collection".   My design paper is from Basic Grey's Kioshi collection, and the gingham panel from my stash.  And what could be anymore beautiful than the transformation of a butterfly?  I just had to add those to my card along with some Cuttlebug die cut corners and a satin ribbon.

Critter Sketch Challenge #50

Welcome to this week's Critter Sketch Challenge!   Our challenge this week is s a sketch challenge designed by very own Colleen.

I chose this delightful snowman digi, "Snowman-Sign" from The Stamping Boutique.
I could not for the life of me bring myself to use any more "snowy" or "Christmasy"design paper, instead I chose Basic Grey's "Wisteria" collection.   I made medallions with a Tim Holz die from SU DP and then punched snowflake embellishments.  My snowman is mounted on a Spellbinders lacey circle and I also used a Spellbinders scallop die.   My coloring was done with Copic markers.

We'd love to have you join us for this week's sketch challenge!  Just follow the instructions and link to our challenge here.  Also, please take a moment and visit our design team's blogs for inspiration, they'd love to receive a comment from you!

I used silver card stock from Canson and the blue is from SU.  I printed my snowmen on Basic Grey "Figgy Pudding" design paper.  My sentiment is from Create with TLC.  I embossed my silver paper and embellished with pearl dew drops.  My snowmen were colored with Copic markers.

Critter Sketch Challenge #44

I have a card created today for this week's Critter Sketch Challenge.  This week's challenge is to create a card using... "No Pattern Paper"!  Yikes!!!  This can be done, but strikes fear in the hearts of most card designers!

Here is the card I created using a digital image from Bugaboo Stamps,  "Mary Joseph and Child".

My card stock is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.  I sponged distressed ink over the snowflakes and tried to use "earthy" colors.  My image is colored with Copic markers and my border was created with a Martha Stewart Punch.  I added ribbon and a Spellbinder's die to enhance my sentiment.

Critter Sketch Challenge #40

Today I have a card created for this week's Critter Sketch Challenge.  The theme for this week's challenge is "Texture it!".   You can use fun flock, liquid applique, Stickles, liquid pearls, and embossing powders!  I chose a digital image from the Priscilla Styles Store,  "Christmas Bear".
My design paper is from "The Paper Studio" and "The Paper Place".   I embossed my ornament with a Sizzix embossing folder and made a "cap" by pleating gold DP.  My holly leaves were made with a MS punch and the berries are red Stickles.  I colored my "Christmas Bear" with Copic markers and added red Stickles to the candy cane.

Today I have a card created for this week's Critter Sketch Challenge.  The theme for this week's challenge is "Christmas".   I chose a digital image from Sugar Creek Hollow,  "Bad Hair Snowman" - even snowmen have bad hair days, LOL!

My design paper is from Basic Grey's "Jovial" collection and my card stock from SU.  I used a snowflake left over from last year's stash, added a Prima poinsettia and glittery wired ribbon.   I colored my snowman with Copic markers.

Critter Sketch Challenge #36, "Hip to Be Square"

This week it is so "Hip to Be Square", or at least that is the name of this week's Critter Sketch Challenge!  Our challenge was to follow this awesome sketch by Heidi:

and here is my card:

I used a Pure Innocence stamp, "Blooming Good Day" and the new Basic Grey "Pyrus" collection for my design paper.  I tried not to deviate from the sketch too much, since the sketch name calls for "square".  I colored this little cutie with my Copic markers and used Bazzill CS and SU CS.

Critter Sketch Challenge #33 - Sketch!

This week's exciting challenge is to create a card using our own fabulous sketch artist, Kelly Haberstroh.  Here's the sketch:
And here's my challenge card:
I haven't posted a Tilda image in such a long time!  This is a new stamp, "Cowgirl Tilda".  The color brown just took me over for this card.  I colored Tilda with my Copics and added punched stars, embossing, Spellbinder dies and jute.  And the cute little sentiment is from my SU set, "Cowboy Kid".  I think this is just perfect for Tilda!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog!  I hope you will visit the other "Critters" blogs to see their creations and for inspiration.  They are listed on my sidebar.  Hope you will join us for this week's challenge located here!

Critter Sketch Challenge #31 - Back to School

This week's Critter Sketch Challenge is here! For this challenge, Melanie asked that we try and create a school related project.  Our host for this month's challenges is Sew Many Cards and I used one of their cute images, "Cammi Bookworm".  I think this is the perfect image for a teacher!

Decorative Lid

I colored Cammi with Copic markers and used Basic Grey DP.  Prima flowers and butterflies added with my MS punch were added to decorate my lid.  The sparkly button is from MFT.

Now this may not help your child get an "A", but I'm sure the teacher will appreciate any gifts!  They work hard to educate our children and some of them don't even get a thank you.

Thanks for visiting and be sure to visit the other Critter's blogs to see their creations this week!

Critter Sketch Challenge #29 -" Fall"

This week is my turn to show you a card I created for this week's Critter Sketch Challenge.  The theme for this challenge is "Fall".  I chose a Bildmalarna,"Mimosa Autumn Walk" which is one of the new 2010 Fall stamps I purchased from Papers Jewels.  Doesn't she look sweet?  I found this cute design paper in my stash, Recollections Autumn collection.  I added a Cuttlebug embossed pumpkin to add to the fall look and some die cut buttons from Spellbinders.
I colored my Mimosa image with Copics and cut her out so I could use this gorgeous matching checked DP.   Please join us for this week's challenge and check out the other design team member's creations, we'd love to see your creation!

Thanks for visiting and hope you will join us again next week!
